Payment Policy

At GBIshops, we strive to make payments secure, transparent, and hassle-free for both shoppers/customers and vendors. This Payment Policy explains how payments are processed on our platform.

1. Payment Methods

Shoppers/Customers can pay for products and services on GBIshops using:

  • Paystack (Debit/Credit Cards, USSD, Bank Transfer, Wallets, Mobile Money, etc.)
  • Direct Bank Transfers to our designated company account.

All payments are processed in Naira (₦) for Nigerian shoppers/customers. International transactions are supported in USD ($) through Paystack.

2. Payment Flow

  1. Shoppers/Customers complete checkout and make payment via Paystack or bank transfer.
  2. GBIshops confirms the payment and notifies the vendor.
  3. Vendors prepare and deliver the order (either through our logistics partners or direct fulfillment).
  4. GBIshops settles payments to vendors within 10 working days after successful delivery to the shopper/customer.

3. Vendor Commissions & Fees

  • It is free to become a vendor.
  • 8% commission per successful sale (12% for international vendors).
  • Fees are automatically deducted before vendor payouts.

4. Refunds & Returns

  • Refunds are only issued in line with our Return & Refund Policy.
  • If eligible, refunds are processed back to the original payment method used by the shopper/customer.
  • Processing time for refunds: 5–7 working days, depending on the shopper’s bank/payment provider.

5. Security of Payments

  • Paystack ensures all payments are PCI-DSS compliant and encrypted.
  • GBIshops does not store sensitive card or bank details of shoppers/customers.
  • Shoppers/customers are advised to only make payments through official channels (Paystack checkout or our verified bank account).

6. Payment Confirmation

  • Shoppers/Customers will receive a confirmation email/notification after payment is successfully received.
  • Vendors will also be notified once an order has been paid for and confirmed.

7. Late or Failed Payments

  • Orders will not be processed until full payment is received.
  • If a bank transfer is made without proper reference or confirmation, shoppers/customers must share proof of payment with our support team.
  • Failed or reversed payments will automatically cancel the order unless resolved.
