This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) outlines the rules governing acceptable conduct and prohibited activities on GBIshops, a platform owned and operated by Global Brains Integral Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By accessing or using GBIshops, all users (including Vendors and Customers) agree to comply with this Policy. Any violation may result in suspension, termination, or other enforcement actions as outlined below.

1. Restricted & Prohibited Activities

Users must NOT use GBIshops to:

  • Engage in illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activities
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations (including Nigerian laws)
  • Infringe intellectual property rights of third parties
  • Misrepresent identity, products, or services
  • Facilitate money laundering, terrorism financing, or any financial crime
  • Circumvent platform systems, fees, or payment processes
  • Interfere with the security, integrity, or functionality of the platform

2. Prohibited Products & Services

The following categories are strictly prohibited on GBIshops:

2.1 Financial & Fraud-Related Activities

  • Investment scams or fraudulent schemes
  • Ponzi or “get-rich-quick” programs
  • Unlicensed financial or money transfer services

2.2 Regulated or Illegal Goods

  • Illegal drugs, narcotics, or controlled substances
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or related accessories
  • Hazardous or restricted chemicals without authorization
  • Items prohibited by regulatory bodies (e.g., NAFDAC, SON)

2.3 Counterfeit & Intellectual Property Violations

  • Counterfeit or fake goods
  • Pirated software, media, or digital content
  • Unauthorized replicas or trademark infringements

2.4 Adult & Offensive Content

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit material
  • Adult services or escort-related content

2.5 Restricted or High-Risk Items

  • Human remains or body parts
  • Stolen or illegally obtained goods
  • Any product promoting violence, discrimination, or unlawful activity

GBIshops reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether any product or activity violates this Policy.

3. Vendor Compliance Obligations

All Vendors must:

  • Complete full KYC verification and provide accurate business information
  • Ensure all products are genuine, safe, and legally compliant
  • Obtain all required licenses or regulatory approvals where applicable
  • Provide accurate product descriptions, pricing, and images
  • Fulfil orders within agreed timelines
  • Honour applicable return and refund obligations

Failure to comply may result in:

  • Listing removal
  • Payment suspension or withholding
  • Account restriction or termination

4. Payment & Transaction Rules

To maintain platform integrity:

  • All payments must be processed through approved GBIshops payment channels only
  • Off-platform transactions or attempts to bypass fees are strictly prohibited
  • Use of fraudulent, stolen, or unauthorized payment methods is prohibited
  • Suspicious transactions may be delayed, flagged, or subject to review

GBIshops reserves the right to place a temporary hold on funds pending investigation of any transaction.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Provide accurate and truthful personal and delivery information
  • Use only valid and authorized payment methods
  • Refrain from abusive, fraudulent, or malicious disputes or chargebacks
  • Interact respectfully with Vendors and support personnel

6. Monitoring & Risk Control

GBIshops implements ongoing monitoring systems, including:

  • KYC verification of Vendors
  • Transaction monitoring for fraud and suspicious activity
  • Review of product listings and user complaints

We reserve the right to request additional information or documentation at any time to ensure compliance and platform security.

7. Enforcement & Actions

Where violations occur, GBIshops may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue warnings
  • Remove or restrict product listings
  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Withhold or delay payments
  • Cancel or reverse transactions where applicable
  • Report violations to law enforcement or regulatory authorities

Enforcement actions may be taken without prior notice where necessary to protect the platform, users, or compliance obligations.

8. Policy Updates

GBIshops may update this Policy at any time to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational changes. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
